Urea (BUN) Diagnostic Kit

An enzymatic UV-based diagnostic reagent system for quantitative determination of urea (and blood urea nitrogen, BUN) in human serum, plasma, and urine using biochemistry analyzers, photometers, and spectrophotometers. The method is based on the urease–GLDH enzymatic reaction, where urea is hydrolyzed to ammonium ions and subsequently converted to glutamate with concurrent NADH consumption, measured spectrophotometrically at 340 nm.
